The Sager NP7338 (based on the Clevo W230SS) was the second gaming laptop I owned, and it was solid machine. Purchased from XoticPC some time in 2014, the Sager NP7338 was a 13.3″ laptop running an Intel 4th Gen i7-4810MQ quad core processor with Intel 8 series HM87 chipset, a NVidia GeForce GTX 860M 2GB graphics card, 2 x 8GB memory sticks (I think DDR3 at the time, I don’t recall the speed), and a 2.5″ SATA SSD drive. These were quite powerful components at the time, and not something you’d expect to see in a small 13.3″ chassis.
The laptop featured a very nice full HD (1920×1080) 16:9 LED matte IPS LCD screen, 2.0MP camera, illuminated (backlit) keys, and weighed in around 4.6lbs, with amazing performance for such a small form factor.
The right hand side of the Sager NP7338 had three USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, VGA port, gigabit ethernet port, power, and a Kensington lock port. The left side was mostly taken up by an exhaust vent, but there was also a USB 2.0 port, headphone jack, and separate mic jack on that side. On the front edge there was also a card reader. That’s a whole lot of I/O for a 13.3″ laptop. As a bonus, the battery was readily removable, which was very handy if you were away from a charging source for a long period of time, although the battery they had on there was fairly large capacity, with about 5.5 hours life (depending on what you were doing), which was well above average.
Overall a great little gaming machine. I don’t have any photos of my own NP7338 (long since sold it), but here’s a few pictures sourced from Google Images.
